Volunteers with Project Porchlight, a national energy conservation campaign, will be on Main Street in Blairmore on Friday, with free, energy-efficient light bulbs. Project Porchlight volunteers will deliver more than 2,400 free energy-efficient light bulbs to residents of the Crowsnest Pass as part of a 500,000-bulb Alberta-wide campaign.
WHAT:
Project Porchlight is a community campaign to give people the tools to be more energy-efficient and see how simple actions matter when it comes to smart energy choices. On Friday, June 20th, Project Porchlight volunteers and the Crowsnest Pass Conservation Society will be on hand to explain the program, hand out free compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, and demonstrate the benefits of installing them. The Crowsnest Pass Conservation Society will have a table set-up on the sidewalk in front of their offices on Main Street.
