Calgary Tower turns 'green' as volunteers gather in Calgary this Sunday to celebrate Project Porchlight simple actions matter

What:
Photo/camera/interview opportunity:
Calgary Tower changing exterior lights to green (coloured) compact
fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs. Over two thousand volunteers and supporters
from all over Alberta invited to see the "green" Calgary Tower and to attend a celebration wrap-up event in their honour hosted by One Change (creators of Project Porchlight). Event is emceed by actress and television star Meg Ruffman, entertainment by recording artists Emerson Drive.

When/Where:
Sunday, March 15, 2009: 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM volunteer celebration, TELUS Convention Centre. Buses from communities across Alberta start arriving at
3:45 PM.

Over two thousand volunteers and supporters from Alberta invited to

Details:
Project Porchlight, an award-winning campaign of the not for profit
organization One Change, is honouring volunteers who delivered 800,000 free
CFL light bulbs throughout Alberta over the past two years, and empowering
them to adopt more simple actions that protect the environment.
Buses of volunteers from Brooks, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and
Red Deer start arriving at 3:45 PM.
