Media Advisory - Beaumont, Alberta

Volunteers with Project Porchlight, a national energy conservation campaign, will be in Beaumont at the Communities in Bloom community breakfast. Project Porchlight volunteers will deliver more than 2,000 free energy-efficient light bulbs to residents of Beaumont as part of a 500,000-bulb Alberta-wide campaign.

WHAT:
Project Porchlight is a community campaign to give people the tools to be more energy-efficient and see how simple actions matter when it comes to smart energy choices. Project Porchlight volunteers will be on hand to explain the program, hand out free compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, and demonstrate the benefits of installing them.

WHO:
Project Porchlight staff, residents of Beaumont.

MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES:
Photo ops: Porchlight staff and Beaumont residents with energy-efficient light bulbs.

WHEN:
Saturday, May 3rd from 9:00 am to 11:00 am

WHERE:
Communities in Bloom kick-off Breakfast, Beaumont Fire Hall, 5010A - 52 Avenue.
