NJ MyWay (Morristown, NJ): Project Porchlight Spreads Energy Efficiency Message at the 8th Annual Community Family Day Festival
Project Porchlight, an award-winning energy-efficiency initiative brought to you by New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program ™ (NJCEP) and the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU), will distribute complimentary compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs and spread its message that simple actions can make a big difference when it comes to helping the environment at the 8th Annual Community Family Day in Morristown, New Jersey on Saturday, August 7, 2010. Since 2008, Project Porchlight New Jersey has distributed more than 1,000,000 million compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs to New Jersey residents, reached more than 300 New Jersey communities, registered and trained more than 2,600 volunteers, and created savings of 78 million for New Jersey residents on their electricity bill. As a result, New Jersey families and individuals are making smarter and better energy-efficient choices, realizing that their Simple Actions Matter™ in helping to protect the environment. Project Porchlight is looking for volunteers to help us spread the message at the festival. To volunteer and learn more about this exciting initiative, please contact Jill Zajac, Volunteer Outreach & Coordinator, at (973) 226-5020 or visit www.projectporchlight.com.
