East Windsor Is Participating in Project Porchlight, Distributing Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs at the July 2 Township Independence Day Celebration Starting at 6 pm, at No Cost.

The compact fluorescent light bulbs, which are for use in outside security lighting, use less electricity. Project Porchlight, funded by the NJ Board of Public Utilities Clean Energy Program, is an energy-efficiency campaign run by One Change, a non-profit organization that advocates community engagement and environmental sustainability. Compact fluorescent light bulbs can also be obtained at the East Windsor Municipal Clerk’s office from July 6 through 30, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Limit one bulb per residence.
