Saturday, October the 27th was the big launch in Burlington at the Burlington Mall [1]. Although the local Farmer's Market had agreed to let us set up outside, the weather was set to disagree with us. Despite the wet and stormy weather, many volunteers braved the elements to come out and join the Burlington Project Porchlight team.

As you can see from our photos [2], there were lots of people who came by to pick up a free energy efficient bulb and learn about other energy initiatives from Burlington Mall. Our beautifully crafted cake [3] was a yummy success as well!

We were fortunate enough to have four esteemed guests; David Collie, CEO of Burlington Hydro [4], Mike Wallace [5], MP Burlington, Mayor Cam Jackson [6], and our very own Executive Director, Stuart Hickox. It was extremely interesting to hear four people from such different backgrounds talk about how we all can preserve energy.
