Project Porchlight, in conjunction with Puget Sound Energy [1], will be in Auburn to conduct a “Neighborhood Blitz” with a goal is to distribute 275,000 energy efficient light bulbs in the Puget Sound region. The blitz will be in Auburn on Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Effort will begin from Veterans Memorial Park, 411 E St. NE, where volunteers are needed to deliver free CFL light bulbs to Auburn residents.
Volunteers also are needed on Oct. 10 and 11 at the Auburn Lowe’s location, 1232 A St. NE, for the “Rock the Bulb” bulb exchange program where customers can exchange up to 10 incandescent bulbs for Energy Star® [2] qualified compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs of their choosing.
