Replacing any old incandescent light bulb with a CFL will save energy and save money. But replacing the one on your porch has extra value. For one, replacing outdoor bulbs usually requires more work than an inside bulb, and the long life of CFL bulbs means less changes. More important, replacing the light on your porch with a CFL sends a message to everyone who sees it that you've made the switch and that encourages others to do the same. The Porchlight is a sign of a better and brighter Canada.
