Have you heard about the Canadian Geographic Environmental Awards? Nominations for this green-inspired award have past, but there must be community-based awards and recognitions that take place all over this fine province of ours.

Exciting stuff considering all of the eager Porchlight volunteers who have the potential to become ambassadors for environmentally-friendly options not only in your community, but all over Canada, too.

Take Dan McArthur, his daughter Candice, Arie Hoogenboom, and Bruce Taylor, for example. Now there are some folks who are committed to saving energy in town. And they are most definitely not afraid to pound the pavement supporting energy-saving projects, either. With help from the entire Rotary Club, Dryden doled out thousands of bulbs to as many households as possible. How's that for an afternoon of inspired work?!
