Most of us have seen seasonal LED strings in the past couple of years, either on store shelves or hanging from neighbour's houses and trees. They're the brighter, better holiday lights that not only look more colorful and vivid, but also use about 95% less electricity than your old incandescent-style light strings. You can save a substantial amount of energy - and money - by switching up to SLEDs.
To help you make that switch, on Saturday, November 17 and Sunday, November 18, One Change and the Ontario Power Authority [1] are holding seasonal LED exchange events in selected communities across Ontario. If you're looking for ways to reduce your energy consumption this holiday season, the SLED exchange is perhaps the easiest change you can make!
One Change representatives will be at select Canadian Tire [2] and Home Hardware [3] this weekend to collect old and wasteful incandescent light strings. Drop your old holiday lights off with our team and we'll give you a buy-one-get-one-free voucher, reedemable that day in the store where you've done the exchange. You'll get to choose the replacement LED lights you prefer, in a variety of lengths and styles, all guaranteed to be much more efficient than your old strings.
Join us this Saturday or Sunday, depending on location, from 10AM to 2PM. See below for a complete list of locations and their corresponding dates.
