Help us spread the word-and the light!
Project Porchlight is an award-winning energy-efficiency initiative of One Change, brought to you by New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program and the Board of Public Utilities. We work with communities across the U.S., spreading the message that simple actions can make a big difference when it comes to helping the environment.
The way you can help is simple. If you are planning or attending a community meeting or other gathering, we'd love it if you could help us by handing out CFL bulbs and spreading the message that:
- CFL bulbs use up to 75% less electricity than old-fashioned incandescent light bulbs
- Just one CFL bulb will save up to $30 on your electricity bill over the life of the bulb
- Less coal gets burned, and pollution is reduced through the use of CFL bulbs--talk about a win-win situation!
Once all of these energy-efficient light bulbs have been distributed, you can anticipate New Jersey residents saving nearly $30,000,000 off their energy bills--and you will have helped!
We are also looking for community leaders like yourself to assist us in volunteering to distribute light bulbs at events and around your neighborhood. We'd be delighted if you could give us a hand! We need volunteers to hand out CFL bulbs at no charge to households in your community. Door-to-door delivery is fun and easy, and it's not a big time commitment (1-2 hours). The whole family can get involved!
Please contact us for additional information and to discuss ways you can get involved:

We hope to hear from you soon! And remember: Simple actions matter.
