The office of Western Financial Group Eldon Ray Agencies are stepping up to the plate. On Tuesday, February 5 they will use their lunch break to hand out energy-saving CFL bulbs to the town of Beaverlodge.
On Saturday, February 9th, Project Porchlight's Alberta team will be at the Lakeside Leisure Centre in Brooks, Alberta to hand out energy efficient light bulbs and speak with community members. The Alberta team will also hoot a cheer or two for the The Brooks Bandits as they challenge the Dragons of Drumheller.
This year's highly anticipated, EnCana-sponsored Battle of the Border women's hockey tournament locations, featuring Olympians from both sides of the border, have been announced, and Grande Cache has been selected!

In addition to the Grande Cache game, the Battle of the Border tournament will visit the Alberta communities of Lac La Biche, Viking and Ralston. With Olympic superstars such as Canada's Hayley Wickenheiser and America's Kristin King taking to the ice, hockey fans of every generation will have reason to cheer these women on.
Volunteers from the Peace River area teaming up with the Katimavik group will be handing out light bulbs to Peace River residents on Monday, February 18.

An ambitious energy efficiency campaign will officially launch on Saturday, March 1st in Airdrie, Stony Plain and Bonnyville. Project Porchlight in partnership with the Alberta Junior Forest Warden Association (AJFWA) and community volunteers will deliver compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs to households.
