Project Porchlight is excited to announce a partnership with the Alberta Junior Forest Warden Association (AJFWA) in our campaign to delivery 500,000 energy-efficient compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs to Albertans.
AJFWA fosters an understanding and respect for our natural environment through educational programs, leadership and outdoor skills. With 50 clubs, hosting 1000 wardens and 700 adult volunteers and parents across Alberta, AJFW will play an important role in the distribution of energy-efficient light bulbs and conveying Project Porchlight’s message that everyone has the power to save energy and money and help protect the environment. AJFWA will distribute energy-efficient CFLs on March 1st, 2008 in many communities, beginning in Airdrie, Stony Plain and Bonnyville. Distribution is also planned for Beaverlodge, Clymont, Edson, Tofield, Cold Lake, Manning, Delburn, Duffield/Evergreen, Sherwood Park, Smoky Lake, Slave Lake, Hinton, Stettler, Red Deer, and Rocky Mountain House.
