Project Porchlight’s Vineland Blitz on July 25 in Vineland, New Jersey, was an excellent day. More than 20 volunteers turned out to help educate their neighbors on the energy savings offered by compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs.

Thunderstorms were predicted for July 18, but the weather predictions couldn’t have been more wrong, and the volunteers who turned out for Project Porchlight’s Mount Ephraim Blitz enjoyed bright, clear skies. It’s official—the compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulb has arrived in the city of Renton, WA! On July 7, approximately 40 volunteers pulled on their green t-shirts and joined the Project Porchlight Puget Sound team at the Highlands Neighborhood Center.

Project Porchlight is coming to Renton on Tuesday, bringing with it free energy-saving compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs to residents in the Higlands.

The West Orange Eco-Energy Fair held May 3 in West Orange, New Jersey, featured green vendors, workshops, and demonstrations, all aimed at helping attendees learn to reduce their energy consumption.

Atlantic City, New Jersey, is the destination for millions of visitors each year. People are drawn from nearby cities and from faraway countries to Atlantic City’s beaches, casinos, and entertainment. The resort community’s motto is “always turned on,” but that doesn’t mean Atlantic City isn’t committed to saving energy.

We were up bright early at the Farmers Market in downtown Belleville, in the drizzle, ready to talk Porchlight.
