In the summer and fall of 2008, more than 500 enthusiastic volunteers, with the generous support of BC Hydro Power Smart and EnCana Corporation, helped the Project Porchlight team successfully distribute more than 20,000 free compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs to residents door-to-door and at more than 50 community events across Northeastern British Columbia.
