If you can change a light bulb, you can make a difference.
That’s one of the underlying messages of the Project Porchlight campaign, designed to mobilize people everywhere to take advantage of the many benefits of switching to energy-efficient compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs.

Project Porchlight campaigns are coming in Saskatchewan and New Jersey! Visit our Careers page to see how you can get involved.

About the Ontario Evaluation Study
Since 2004, Project Porchlight has been doing what no energy conservation campaign has done before: reaching Canadians at the grassroots level. Delivered through a comprehensive social marketing campaign, Project Porchlight makes energy conservation accessible, relevant, and personal by giving regular people the power to take action in their own communities. Action that matters.

and looking good! Check it out.

Sometimes big ideas start in small places. And this Earth Day, we salute those who are willing to make a change for the better. In Turner Valley, Alberta, they officially banned styrofoam today. Sounds kind of radical, eh? Well, let's look at the reasons the town leaders would choose to do this.

Looking for a career promoting community-based environmental sustainability! Well, look no further! One Change is hiring, and we'd love to hear from you. If you live in Alberta or Vermont, please visit our Careers page. Other campaigns are in the works, so check back often!

Across the globe people are preparing to mark an international, collective action to promote energy conservation. This is about a lot more than just turning off your lights: it's about acknowledging and noticing that we all are participants in the state of our planet, and our actions matter.

Congratulations to EnCana, one of the funders of Project Porchlight Alberta, for their international awards that they received last week at Globe 2008!
EnCana won the The Corporate Award for Environmental Excellence.
