Saturday morning dawned cold and windy, but that didn’t deter the volunteers who gathered at Lincoln Elementary School for Project Porchlight’s Englewood Blitz on December 13.
Many of the 30 volunteers were high school students from Academies @ Englewood, who had been encouraged by their history teacher to take part.

Newark is the largest city in New Jersey, and it would be difficult to distribute bulbs to the entire population in one day, but the tireless Project Porchlight team made excellent progress in its Newark Blitz on December 13th.

CFLs shed old light on greenhouse-gas problem
