Bill Klaus, a resident of Wenonah, New Jersey, serves as the Chair of Sustainable Wenonah, an offshoot of the borough’s Environmental Commission. Last summer, he encouraged his 17-year-old daughter Theresa to get involved with the committee’s work.

The Westfield FestiFall in Westfield, New Jersey, is one of the largest annual street fairs in the state, attracting well over 30,000 people each year. This year’s event, the 22nd annual FestiFall, took place on September 26 and featured hundreds of vendors offering food, crafts, and retail items.

When the 4th grade members of Girl Scout Troop 21128 of Vincentown, New Jersey, began working towards earning their Bronze Award, they chose the theme “Get Moving,” which is all about sustaining the earth through recycling, conserving energy, and other projects.

The annual Matawan Day and Food Festival, sponsored by the Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce and the borough’s Recreation Commission, offers a chance for businesses in the community to showcase what they do. This year’s event, held on October 2, featured everything from eateries to karate schools alongside plenty of rides and entertainment.

The annual Sayreville Day in Sayreville, New Jersey, is a great community event for so many reasons! The organizers of the event do their best to ensure that families can enjoy the day with plenty of free children’s activities, making “Say Day” a low-cost day for families on a budget.
