We have three questions for you. One: do you care about issues like climate change and energy conservation? Two: do you sometimes feel like these issues are so big that you can't do anything about them? Three: do you have an hour to spare? If you answered yes to all three questions, then Project Porchlight is for you! Project Porchlight is about demonstrating that simple actions matter.
We're working with the Leduc Environmental Advisory Board to give out 5400 energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs and light up Leduc with YOUR help! Each bulb will not only cut a half a tonne of carbon emissions from ending up in the atmosphere, but will also save the residents of Leduc $50 on their electrical bill over the bulb's lifetime.
Project Porchlight needs any and all interested volunteers to come help us give these bulbs out door-to-door. Volunteering takes as little as an hour of your time and you get to do something positive for the environment and your neighbours.
