Regina volunteers honoured at luncheon
Posted by Amanda | November 14, 2008

Chocolate and the knowledge that you’re helping save the world - what more could a Project Porchlight volunteer want? A gift certificate to RONA couldn’t hurt.

We celebrated with dozens of our Regina volunteers today at the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. Local singer/songwriter Brandy Moore provided the entertainment, and we were also joined by Regina Mayor Pat Fiacco, SaskPower Eneraction representative Rebecca Fissel and Saskatchewan Campaign Manager Patricia Crowe.

Once all our volunteers were acknowledged and thanked, Project Porchlight Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, Kelsie Yates, made a special presentation to 10 volunteers for their outstanding contributions. Kelsie gave each of them a Volunteer Appreciation Certificate, as well as a gift package that included Second Cup coffee mugs, chocolate and hot chocolate, and a gift certificate for RONA.

For those of you who couldn’t make the event, our top 10 volunteers in Regina are (drum roll…):

1. Carol Croziel-Smith – Most Bulbs Delivered by One Volunteer
2. Larry Gall – Most Active Community Involvement
3. Phillipe Leclerc – Most Personable Volunteer
4. Scouts Canada – First Group Involvement
5. SaskTel Pioneers – Largest Community Involvement in Regina
6. Dallas Bausmer – Outstanding SaskPower Employee
7. Linda Muzio – Most Photogenic Volunteer
8. Alvil Tayco – Most Versatile Volunteer
9. Ranch Ehrlo Society – Most Events Attended by a Group
10. Peter Joyce – Most Detailed Feedback Form

Thank you to every one of our Regina volunteers. None of this would be possible without you.
