Strathmore recognizes the shift towards households using energy-efficient fluorescent lighting because it saves money on electrical consumption.

The Town of Strathmore Recycle Facility has undertaken to accept fluorescent tubes as well as CFLs from the residential sector. There is no charge to Strathmore residents for the use of the Town's recycling facilities.
