Have you heard about the Canadian Geographic Environmental Awards? Nominations for this green-inspired award have past, but there must be community-based awards and recognitions that take place all over this fine province of ours.
Exciting stuff considering all of the eager Porchlight volunteers who have the potential to become ambassadors for environmentally-friendly options not only in your community, but all over Canada, too.
Take the Green Committee of Red Lake, for example. An inspired group of people with the health of the natural environment at heart, not only did the Green Committee spearhead recycling and waste reduction in town, but they also managed to dole out over a thousand bulbs to households all over the municipality. How's that for greenspiration?!
