Program co-ordinator Janaki sends us this update from Leduc's Health and Wellness Fair, held this past Tuesday at the Black Gold Centre:
"Janice and I found a group of people not only passionate about improving their personal health and overall well being, but also improving that of our planet's by eagerly accepting a free Porchlight CFL bulb.
The intimacy of the venue gave us the opportunity to chat with other exhibitors and get to know more about the products and programs that they were promoting. Upon chatting with Tammy and Angie with Curves gym, they stepped up to set-up a display to promote Porchlight at their gym in the hopes of getting bulbs out to their members and encouraging volunteer sign-up. Weight training, yoga and some bulb delivery, perhaps?"
A big thank-you goes out to Jeannie and Jackie with the City of Leduc (pictured) for their hospitality and for organizing such a great event!
