Project Porchlight Blog
While the people of Project Porchlight spread out across Canada for launches this week in Thunder Bay, Ontario and Whitehorse, Yukon, I thought I'd get caught up on our most recent media coverage.
The Guelph Tribune has printed a couple of short articles on us, after our very successful launch in that city. "Lighting up our lives" and "New conservation program has bright idea for volunteers" have both helped to spread the word about Porchlight and our search for volunteers down Guelph way. Thank you, Tribune! (We were also mentioned in the Mercury, but that article is subscribers-only. Bummer.)
And weekend Globe and Mail readers (my wife included) may have noticed a piece on Globe Electric a couple weeks ago. Globe was the bulb supplier for our Ottawa campaign, and their progressive stance on research and environmentally-friendly CFLs earned them a nice write-up. Porchlight is mentioned very briefly towards the end of that article.
