High fives to the lively folks at Canadian Tire!

This past weekend was the LED seasonal light exchange and we've got some kudos to dole out to the folks at the Canadian Tire in Nipigon.

Jocelyn and Antje rocked up to the store with a bit of information to be sure, but was it ever helpful to have support from the store.

Most of us have seen seasonal LED strings in the past couple of years, either on store shelves or hanging from neighbour's houses and trees. They're the brighter, better holiday lights that not only look more colorful and vivid, but also use about 95% less electricity than your old incandescent-style light strings.

Get ready for energy efficient Christmas tree lights, Nipigon.

We're in town on Saturday, November 17 at the local Canadian Tire between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Bring down one of your old strings of lights and do the switcheroo for a new & improved energy-saving string of LED lights. This is a one day only thing.

Hundreds of regular folks have volunteered with Project Porchlight, delivering energy-saving CFL lightbulbs in their neighborhoods, to their social circle, at community events. But there's lots of Porchlight bulbs to go around, and we need your help to get them out there!
