Project Porchlight New Jersey educates state residents about energy efficiency and the ways that saving energy can help protect the environment. One great place to reach people is where they shop, which is why Project Porchlight came to Livingston Mall in Livingston, New Jersey, on December 26 and 27.

When the Livingston Senior and Community Center in Livingston, New Jersey, held its annual Winter Class Sign-Up on December 15, residents could visit the center to enroll in a wide range of classes and programs.
There was also something new offered this year: Project Porchlight was on hand to educate residents about the energy savings offered by compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs.

Project Porchlight Rallies for Energy-Saving Campaign
Project Porchlight, a nonprofit energy-efficiency campaign run by One Change, met with partners of the NJ Green Resource Team to roll out a new statewide initiative to save NJ homeowners on energy costs and their carbon footprint.

The West Orange Eco-Energy Fair held May 3 in West Orange, New Jersey, featured green vendors, workshops, and demonstrations, all aimed at helping attendees learn to reduce their energy consumption.

You don’t need to be an expert on environmental issues to volunteer for Project Porchlight. You don’t need to give up a whole lot of your time, either.
All that is required is a morning or an afternoon, a little enthusiasm, and an interest in helping to protect the environment. And most importantly, the willingness to have some fun!
Project Porchlight is a grassroots campaign, and our success is defined by volunteer support.

The morning of November 8 dawned rainy and cold, but the weather did not deter the volunteers who turned out for Project Porchlight’s Livingston Distribution Blitz in Livingston, New Jersey. In fact, more volunteers than anticipated showed up to help Project Porchlight distribute free energy-saving compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs throughout the township: We were expecting 85 people, but 135 volunteers participated, distributing a total of 2,446 energy-efficient light bulbs.

The countdown is on to the December 13th Newark Bulb Blitz!
Project Porchlight made its presence known yesterday at the “Newark Conserves” Energy and Recycling Awareness Initiative launch. The December 2nd event was held in the Rotunda of Newark City Hall, and boasted an impressive line-up of speakers.
