We are pleased to announce that Phase II of our Alberta campaign will be starting this autumn. As such, we've got a slew of new jobs available. We are looking for passionate and dynamic individuals to fill the following roles:
• Campaign Organizers
• Communications Coordinator
• Administrative Assistant
• Volunteer and Outreach Coordinators
• Regional Managers

Congratulations to EnCana, one of the funders of Project Porchlight Alberta, for their international awards that they received last week at Globe 2008!
EnCana won the The Corporate Award for Environmental Excellence.

What a difference it makes when you have strong support for the campaign from the Mayor and Council. Forrest and I experienced a receptive and supportive Mayor Ken Lemke. Councillors, and support staff Dana were the best. They provided great hospitality and were prepared for the arrival of Project Porchlight in Stony Plain.

Neighbourhoods in fifteen communities are being lit up by enthusiastic volunteers from the Alberta Junior Forest Warden Association, beginning this Saturday. Should you expect a knock at your door?

Suzy sent around an interesting piece from Salon.com: should you discard your still-working standard incandescent bulbs and replace them with compact fluorescents, or wait until they die a natural death and then replace them?

Hello! Welcome to the Project Porchlight home page for our campaign in Stony Plain. We're glad that you've found us!
