Junior Forest Wardens paint the town green
Posted by Amanda | May 7, 2008

The Hinton Junior Forest Wardens may be hard to recognize under their face paint, but their enterprise isn’t. The young members – who range in age from 4 to 10 years – took turns manning the Project Porchlight booth at the Hinton and District Trade Show on April 25th and 26th. They helped distribute over 1,300 free light bulbs that weekend. Even more importantly, the Junior Forest Wardens engaged the families who attended the event, and got them thinking about energy conservation.

The young volunteers’ enthusiasm was infectious, and brought a smile to everyone’s faces. Even those without paint.
