As part of our Alberta campaign, Project Porchlight will be delivering more than 130,000 free energy-efficient compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs in Edmonton this fall! Please join our team on Tuesday, October 7 for a Pizza Party and Bulb Blitz.
The festivities begin at 5:30 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Hall. Come meet our incredible staff and volunteers and enjoy some free and yummy pizza! You can pick up a free CFL bulb and sign up to volunteer. We will host a brief volunteer training session before hitting the streets to hand out free CFL bulbs door to door in the community.
Project Porchlight is working from the grassroots in communities to spread the message that simple actions can make a big difference when it comes to conserving energy and helping the environment.
“By volunteering to hand out energy-efficient CFL bulbs, you can help your neighbours reduce their energy use, save money, and cut greenhouse gas emissions,” says Project Porchlight’s Merna Schmidt. “We hope to see you there!”
