People from all walks came out to our big launch at the Keyano Syncrude Sport and Wellness Centre on May 31st. Elderly couples with proud walks heading in for a rejuvenating swim. Toddlers with scurried, excited walks rushing to birthday parties in the centre's conference rooms. Students with purposeful walks making their way to the gym for a study break.
In all, nearly 300 people walked by our booth last Saturday. We handed out 40 cases of CFLs (2,000 bulbs!) to the enthusiastic volunteers who agreed to distribute them throughout Fort McMurray. Volunteers included students from Keyano College who will deliver bulbs at their residences, and a sweet woman who picked up a case to distribute at her church the next day.
