The Porchlight team attended two consecutive nights of hockey with the Bisons in Strathmore and the Dragons in Drumheller. Proudly wearing our Porchlight hockey jerseys we were prepared for Alberta's hockey fans and boy did they show!
We spoke to over 150 fans in both towns and gave buttons to every man, woman and child. The boys played fantastic hockey and both teams won over their opponents, while we won over the hearts of the locals. A particular highlight was when the mascot for the Drumheller Dragons, Dudley, came to our booth and posed with us and some fans. (See photos from the rink in our Flickr set.)
Thank you to both Cheryl Graff and Roxanne Clark for arranging for us to be at the games and to the players and fans for their enthusiasm and interest. We look forward to lighting up both Drumheller and Strathmore!
