Click here for a complete Project Porchlight Alberta summary and to see some of the amazing photos and incredible stories from our campaign and our volunteers all across Alberta. Thank you to everyone involved!

Thanks to the dedication of more than 4,000 volunteers and with funding from EnCana Corporation, The Government of Alberta, The City of Calgary, The City of Edmonton, The City of Medicine Hat, and by our partners Climate Change Central and Shaw Cablesystems, the Project Porchlight team successfully distributed 800,000 free compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs to residents door-to-door and at more than 273 community events across Alberta during the two phase campaign between 2007 and 2009.

Project porchlight

On March 25th, 2009 Toby Newton (not verified) says:

Hi
I am wondering if you can help, my girlfriend works at our local walmart store here in Medicine Hat, and the store has adopted a local school for under privilaged kids, the members at the store want to help raise awareness of earth day with this school and its students, and want to know if there is any way the school could either get an energy saving light bulb for each 150 students at the school or if you could help in any other way.
I would very much appreciate it if you could help in any way thank you for your time.
Mr Toby Newton
