June 13th and 14th were big days in Wetaskiwin. The city hosted its annual Pioneer Days, an old-fashioned country fair including a parade, amusement rides, and, this year, CFLs! We distributed approximately 650 light bulbs over the weekend. Not a bad turnout considering the steady flow of rain that’s been falling down on Alberta for two weeks straight.
Thank you to the many wonderful volunteers who helped make this happen! Here’s a look at one of them – Krishna Gangopadhyay, who helped hand out the CFLs and spread the light about our campaign.
