Beaumont grows green roots
Posted by Amanda | May 5, 2008

After making our first appearance in Beaumont a month ago, Project Porchlight stepped it up on May 3rd for the Communities In Bloom Annual Kick-off. We spent the morning there, handing out light bulbs and getting to know the people of Beaumont.

We received a fantastic reception! Most of the people who picked up one of our CFLs – 90%, in fact – were already using the energy-efficient bulbs at home. Everyone we talked to had already made the commitment to go green, and believed that the choices they make as consumers can benefit both their pocket books and the environment.
