Northwestern Ontario is most definitely, no doubt about it, exceptionally brighter. And this is in no small part due to the ginormous efforts of Alexa and Derek -- the Porchlight delivery team. Woohooo!
Not only did they both pound the pavements in various communities, delivering bulbs door-to-door, but they also rallied other volunteers, put posters up wherever they could, handed out thousands of coupons, took dozens of photos (as proof of their bulbfiying!), spoke with hundreds of locals, ate dozens of pieces of pizza, and listened to hours and hours of Stuart McLean in the van.
They also greatly contributed to our rubberband ball, which is a visual reminder of how many little bundles of coupons we've handed out.
Speaking of which, tomorrow is the last day to redeem those coupons!
