The annual WPST Freedom Festival, sponsored by radio station WPST 94.5-FM, is a family event built around the Independence Day Fireworks that take place just after sunset at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, New Jersey. This year’s event, on June 26, featured live music, food, crafts, and games.

Project Porchlight’s Hazlet Blitz on June 19 in Hazlet, New Jersey, was absolutely perfect.
“The day was sunny and bright,” says Rosemary Mazza, Chair of the Hazlet Environmental Commission. “It was perfect weather for taking a nice walk in the morning to meet your neighbors and give out energy-saving light bulbs.”

For some college students, a good part of the four years they spend at college might be devoted to beer and hanging out. Justin Freedman (pictured here, right), a 21-year-old senior at The College of New Jersey, is not one of those students.

Project Porchlight’s Eastampton Blitz on June 25 in Eastampton, New Jersey, took place on a particularly hot day. But the steamy weather was no deterrent for a small but dedicated group of volunteers, which included local Boy Scouts, Environmental Commissioners, and Eastampton’s mayor.
