The annual African Diaspora Festival in Newark, New Jersey, helps affirm the legacy of the Diaspora by increasing the quality of relationships and dialogue between the communities. This year’s festival, held on August 8 at Lincoln Park, included people of African descent from Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean Islands, and beyond.

The Morris County 4-H Fair on July 23-25 in Chester, New Jersey, was a wonderful event celebrating the achievements of young 4-H participants from all over the county. Tents at the fair featured displays of rabbits, poultry, dogs, and other small animals, and there were plenty of opportunities for visitors to pet the animals.

The 28th annual Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning on July 23-25 in Readington, New Jersey, featured huge balloons—ginormous balloons!--in a variety of shapes, including a scarecrow, a barn, and a haunted house. More than 110,000 people attended this year’s event at Readington’s Solberg Airport
